My work with Robyn Gobbel through trainings, The Club, and Immersion Program.
(AKA- 90% my work outside of private practice, and I love it)
This next part is from the Coach's Bio Robyn wrote, about me, for the Immersion Program. Because well... it feels like an accurate representation of our history.
"Laura’s bright and quirky self showed up in my office for the first time 2016. Laura was my first and only LCSW supervisee. I decided I hit the jackpot and no one else would ever compare to Laura so I stopped supervising while I was ahead ;)
After Laura completed her clinical hours and earned her LCSW license, she just stuck around. Laura is a brilliantly talented clinician and has a special love for the most dysregulated kids- and teens. She’s a surly teen whisperer, indeed. Laura is innately gifted at holding space, curiosity, and connection for parents who are hard to connect with.
Laura has a thriving private practice in Austin, TX and supports me in all-the-things in The Club and now in the Professional Immersion Program. When we were still holding in-person trainings, Laura was my right-hand-lady. Laura has become a trusted friend and I couldn’t pull of The Club or even consider the Professional Immersion Program without Laura involved.
Laura’s clinical training includes basically all the same things as mine does, and she’s a way more talented expressive arts therapist than me. Her favorite store is Austin Creative Reuse. She’s also helped my husband and I take good care of our special needs chicken."

I still help Robyn with in person trainings when she comes to Austin and occasionally travel to help her facilitate in other states.

I feel so fortunate to be Lead Small Group Coach in Robyn Gobbel's Immersion Program. This is a year long immersive, holistic program to train professionals of all kinds and from all backgrounds to support parents, just like you! The Immersion Program is a powerful blend of tools and techniques that are grounded in relational neuroscience and explored within a space that will allow powerful embodiment.

The Club
For parents of kids with Big Baffling Behaviors
My Role in it?
What is The Club, and
The Club is a Unique virtual community for parents and caregivers of kids with Big baffling behaviors. I have the wonderful privilege of supporting families in my role as the Community Manager and groups provider of The Club, a virtual community for parents of kids with big, baffling behaviors. Here, I connect with families all over the globe while providing support and engagement, and cultivating a compassionate online forum where members feel Seen, Held, Heard and most importantly, Not alone. One of the very special things about The Club is that it creates a space for people to come together who can connect over uniquely intense experiences that occur in their everyday life.
The Club has multiple opportunities every month for education, training, connection with one another, and chances to experience some delight and compassion.

There is an active forum (not on Facebook!) where members can focus on compassion first, not judgement, get the chance to be seen by other parents who GET IT, as well as interaction by Robyn and other coaches (like myself).

A video library with over 120 trainings and discussions, that grows every month as new events are made. Including the live "Ask Anything", "Observed coaching" and "Masterclass" events. Which are primarily Robyn's jam.

Twice a month Connect and Coregulates where you get to connect over video in small groups with other parents. One facilitated during the day by Robyn and one in the evening by myself.
As well as, connection opportunities for the siblings of the kiddos with big baffling behaviors. I lead the 10 and up group twice a month. There is also one for under age 10!

And since we know how hard it is to make time for yourself and your delights. I have started a twice a month, Crafternoon Connection, where you can come and engage in anything that brings you delight. It doesn't have to be crafty.
You can even just sit and think about what COULD bring you delight. This space is just for you, built in, we schedule it so you don't have to- just show up and connect as a human adult and not HAVE to be in your role as a parent!

The Club, was created by my close friend, mentor, and colleague Robyn Gobbel, MSW.
She is an Author of the book, Raising Kids with Big, Baffling Behaviors Brain-Body-Sensory Strategies that Really Work, which is a USA TODAY and Amazon best seller, and regular speaker and educator for professionals across the US.

I have been fortunate to know her since her time in Austin as my clinical supervisor and then getting to grow to be her Right Hand Human in the creation, implementation, and growth of so many wonderful trainings and programs.
