I have thought about this, planned, and said I was going to do it for years! I am SO excited to start the roll out of what I hope will become ongoing mixed media groups to use art as a way to manage big feelings, build self-compassion, and use creativity as communication with ourselves and maybe even others. 

These groups are ideal for kiddos and teens who may be:

Quirky, deep thinkers, out of the box, low energy, quiet or shy, creative, struggling with anxiety and want a safe space to process without all the talking, want a creative outlet to learn more about themselves, who they are, and who they want to be. It's a great place to explore BEING with others, holding space for them while they hold space for you but without all the social pressures, and allowing interaction but in small comfortable groups.

We will use mindfulness to practice listening to what our body and mind need and are saying; Notice internal and external sensations as we move through the process; See how we can tap into these things outside of group, and learn a little about our brain and neurobiology along the way.

ALL GENDERS AND ORIENTATIONS ARE WELCOME.

I always have snacks and small snacks are welcome to be brought in. There is a variety of seating- ranging from the couch, forest nook on floor pillows, backjack floor chairs, regular chairs, or laying out on the floor. We get to listen to our bodies in this space (as long as there is still maneuverability).
